Summary of Roar

Close
This story was started by international best-selling children’s author Dick King-Smith. Read about Dick on his author profile page.

The story so far...Barney, our hero, is granted a wish on his 9th birthday by a magical lion called Alistair. Without thinking, Barney wishes he can roar like a lion and, hey presto, he can! The only thing is he can no longer speak anything else and finding his new voice from friends and family is proving extremely difficult. Barney and his parents set off for a trip to Africa where Alistair has told our hero he will have to perform a great task to get his voice back.
